Mini Joan :-)

First of all let me apologise for my lack of blogging, with this lousy bug which has eventually disappeared, trying to help Tom prepare for Create and Craft and general life blogging has been left behind! However, I am back.

CONGRATULATIONS to the winners of the SplodgeAway Mask GiveAway. You will not be disappointed.

Today was my day off from the shop but I called in and had a lovely chat with the customers crafting on the table. I love all of my customers but today I dedicate my page to Joansy! She is like the Suzicraft Granny, she is so cute and is an amazing crafter but the one thing we all love about Granny Joan is the fact she is about 2 foot tall! If you walk into the shop and you manage to see Joan all we do is laugh! We have since discovered why she is so short. Apparently if you eject from a plane you lose an inch in height. This has happened to Joan at least 10 times!!!! She even admitted today she has a fold away stool in her kitchen cupboard to reach in the kitchen.
On a more serious note I wanted to post my birthday card off Granny Joan. This card is amazing, everytime I look at it I see something else. Thank you Joan, I will cherish this card forever.
Thank you to everybody for my lovely cards and presents. Thank you to everybody who attended my surprise party and thank you to Cake Boss Joyce for my amazing Sheep Cake x x x

We have had a few deliveries the back end of last week......Lots of new dies, Creative Expressions Stamps, Cosmic Shimmer guilding flakes, amazing 99p flowers, glues, inks, new A4 and A3 card and the 50p Kanban sale continues.......

Thanks for looking

Birthday Girl - 21 again!

Yesterday I turned 21 again! I would like to say a big THANK YOU to everybody for all my lovely cards, presents and birthday wishes. I had a fab day, both Phil and I woke up to the front room decorated in banners and balloons. Phil is 11 years older than me but we share the same birthday. I woke up to a tonne of chocolate, money and 2 cakes.

Tom took me to Middlesbrough with my brother and niece, we had breakfast in the new 'Greggs Moments', basically a Greggs but a bit more upmarket. Although my niece asked for cheese and ham toastie and they wouldn't add any onion because it would mess up the stock levels! So Tom asked them to take the onion out of his cheese and onion toastie but they refused. Then 20 minutes later they had forgotten to bring the coffee over. However, they refunded the money and the food was AMAZING so we will return.

In Middlesbrough I bought a lush box, lush coconut shampoo, a Nikon D70 body camera(VERY EXCITED) and some DVDs so I am very pleased with my bargains. Sunday evening Tom and I called over to our amazing friends, Sarah and Ian, Sarah and Thomas had made me a lovely cake and I also got a lovely gift...I am going for afternoon tea with Sarah at Wynyard Hall. Whether they let us in is another story! Sarahs little ones went to Grans and we went to the Indian Buffet in South Shields, it was delicious!

Letting Off Steam

This is my entry for the SplodgeAway DT SteamPunk Week. There have been some amazing cards from the whole team so please pop over to the SplodgeAway Blog and take a look:

This week really took me out of my comfort zone as I do not usually go 'steampunk' so when I was given the
Splodge-A-Mask Spira-Circule I decided to go all girly with pinks and purples.

I used lots of spun sugar and dusty concorde distress inks to make the backgrounds along with cosmic shimmer sprays and Sam Poole Time Flies Stamps. I embossed the mask and very slowly (and several attempts) I cut the mask out, I then inked and embossed with multi sparkle clear embossing powder.
